Welcome To My Corner of The Blogging World...Again ☺️

Updated: Mar 14

I love writing.

Not as in book, poem or journalist article types of writing. My writing is more for me to explore what's on my mind, sharing my thoughts about things. In previous, long ago days of blogging my writing usually coincided with my creativity.

That said, I've been a blogger for as long as I can remember, always wanting to share my creative journey, insights I've gained, stuff I've made (to sell and just because) and, of course, my heartwords. That's the journaler in me that choose to (and needs to) express herself.

In the last year or so I've come to realise that I've missed this part being creative...documenting and sharing the process. That's what this blog will be about ⏤ creating, noticing, writing, inking (as in fountain pens and art play) and above all, having FUN doing it.

FANDOM GOOD STUFF

I’ve been a fan of Mat D’Avella on Youtube for a little while now and subscribed to his email (when he was regularly sending it). His thoughtful and insightful words touched a core place in me.

I'd recently reread one one of his emails and 3 things he wrote in it re-inspired me and made me think that the suggestions he offered was a good way to begin this new foray back into blogging (my own words follow his 3 suggestions).

1. Journal Every Day - "Journaling is more than writing. It’s a grounding practice”. Plus, it's a way to daily use your fountain pens. I/we are blessed to be able to gather a broad selection of pens to add to our collection.

Journaling allows me to wallow in play with inks and pens (like when you intentionally splashing in a puddle) as I write my heartwords, or record my day, sometimes including a quote I want to remember. It’s a practice I wholeheartedly welcome and have always encourage others to start.

2. Find Awe and Wonder in the World - Stand in or sit still for a lil bit in nature. Make it a point to do that every week, heck every day if you can. I know it’s not the same thing, but when Portland is in its rainy season (lots of days in January), I sit in my chair by a beautiful open window and just take in the outside world. Magical.

3. Do and Share Something You Love - For me, this one isn't hard. I've always shared my creatives loves, whether it's teaching, talking about my process or sharing something I've made

It’s why I started my YouTube channel and am still creating videos. Funny, in the beginning, when people ask me what I do, I was coy at first about the fact that I am a content creator.

Now I thoroughly, totally, emphatically, enthusiastically embrace the joy I feel in doing something I love to do. To say they are surprised when I say I’m a content creator on YouTube is the typical response. Prolly cause I’m not the typical age for that role, let’s just say. Then they asked me for my channel name and these days I happily share it (@wildlyimaginable). No hesitation in my game anymore (to the point that I even created a QR code photo on my phone to make it easy for peeps to find me and subscribe).

THE BEGINNING

I can't begin to tell you how much I'm enjoying the feeling that blogging here in this space is giving me. All the good old stuff came flowing back and I'm excited to be sharing in this way again.

Alrighty then, that’s it for now. Let's meet back here again. I hope all is good (or at least less challenging) for you in your part of the world.

ta ta for now, Grace
